Review of This Recording
It is really a pleasure to comment on such a reissue as this...this remains vintage 1961-62 Barber at its very best and is most faithfully recorded. Still as brilliant as always....in 1999. Jazz Rag

Disc 2: URCD158 CHRIS BARBER AT THE BBC 1963

An excellent CD and one that is a MUST for Chris Barber fans. The CD is a whole broadcast (with some edits), complete with introductions from Humphrey Lyttelton and featuring guest artists that Chris had invited - Joe Harriott, Bobby Breen, Ian Armit. The CD also features the superb vocals of Ottilie Patterson
