ALL STARS IN CONCERT 1957 - Jack Teagarden and Earl Hines - Volume 2
Volume two of this fabulous 1957 Manchester concert by a specially assembled group starring two icons of Jazz. The concert was presented by The National Jazz Federation, and with the obvious exception of Max Kaminsky, every musician had previously been a member of Louis Armstrong’s All Stars. The promoters thought they would appeal to the British public in the same way Satchmo himself had on his first post-war visit the previous year – and the rapturous audience clearly agreed! Volume 1 is on URCD258.
Personnel here are Jack Teagarden trombone and vocals, Earl Hines piano and vocals, Max Kaminsky trumpet, Peanuts Hucko clarinet, Jack Lesberg string bass and Cozy Cole drums.

Reviews of This Recording
I thoroughly enjoyed the CD. Recording quality was not brilliant, but acceptable and totally justified by the high quality of the jazz. Barry Clare - Just Jazz
